Some older Windows applications still require Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. Use the section below that matches your Windows version.
If Windows is managed by your organization, you may need administrator permission or an enabled Windows Update service before the installation can finish.
For Windows XP, download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 from Microsoft and install it manually. Restart the computer after installation if Windows asks you to do so.
On newer Windows versions, .NET Framework 3.5 is usually added through Windows Features. Windows may download required files from Windows Update during the process.
Press Windows Key + S and search for Windows features.

Open Turn Windows features on or off.

In the Windows Features window, find .NET Framework 3.5.

Select .NET Framework 3.5, including .NET 2.0 and 3.0.

Allow Windows Update to download the required files.

Wait for Windows to apply the changes.

When installation is complete, reopen the application that required .NET Framework 3.5.
